DWM announced today the closing of Global Partnerships Microfinance Fund 2006

March 30, 2007 – DWM Finance LLC, member NASD/SIPC, announced today the closing of Global Partnerships Microfinance Fund 2006. The five-year fund closed at $8.5 million, which will be lent by the fund manager, Global Partnerships, to microfinance institutions (MFIs) in Latin America. MFIs alleviate poverty and spur economic growth by making small loans to low-income entrepreneurs in developing countries.

DWM Finance served as investment banker for the transaction, bringing institutional investors from the USA and Western Europe into the fund. The fund aims to provide investors with a "double bottom line"--both financial and social returns.

DWM Finance is a member of the Developing World Markets group of companies, located in Darien CT and dedicated to opening doors to international capital markets for small and micro enterprises in developing countries.

Global Partnerships is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding opportunity for people living in poverty and providing leadership in the fight against global poverty, with offices in Seattle, WA and Managua, Nicaragua.
