DWM Welcomes SNS in Shareholding

May 16, 2008 – Developing World Markets (DWM) announced today that SNS Asset Management, part of the leading Dutch financial services group SNS REAAL, has purchased a 10% equity stake in the company.

DWM said the investment will strengthen its efforts to expand the global market for microfinance – the business of making small loans to entrepreneurs in developing countries.

DWM is a socially responsible investment bank and fund manager based in Darien, Connecticut. DWM already manages a $250 million microfinance investment fund sponsored by SNS for institutional investors in the Netherlands.

With €18.7 billion under management, SNS Asset Management specializes in socially responsible investing for institutional clients and is a subsidiary of SNS REAAL, one of the five largest financial services groups in the Netherlands.
