Alan Bonilla

Alan joined DWM in 2008. As Relationship Manager for Central America, the Caribbean and Colombia, Alan is responsible for the origination and the financing of debt transactions of MFIs in the region.
Prior to joining DWM, Alan was an Associate Director at Fitch Ratings in their Asset-backed Securities Group. He was responsible for rating unsecured consumer transactions, focusing on credit analysis, modeling and credit research. He also spent five years at Moody's Investors Service in their Asset-backed Commercial Paper Group and ABS Monitoring Group. His roles at Moody's included analyzing new conduit structures and reviewing legal documentation. He also helped to develop Moody's student loan monitoring process.
Alan has a BA in History from Columbia University. He is also a co-founder and executive board member of S.T.R.O.N.G. Youth, Inc., a non-profit organization that guides youth in underprivileged communities. He has traveled in over 30 countries and speaks fluent Spanish.
