Fernanda joined DWM in 2008 as a Vice President for the private equity team. She is responsible for originating, underwriting, and closing equity transactions and managing portfolio companies.
Fernanda has six years' experience with major private equity firms in Europe, Latin America, and the U.S. social sphere. She worked for AIG Global Investment Group in London as an Investment Manager, working on equity transactions in Scandinavian, Eastern and Southern Europe, and as an Investment Associate with AFLA/Citicorp Venture Capital in Sao Paulo, structuring private equity investments in Brazil's service sector. Most recently, she has been a Senior Investment Officer with NCIF/ShoreBank in Chicago, a social private equity fund investing in U.S.-based community development finance institutions. Fernanda started her career spending four years with Unibanco Conglomerate in Brazil in various analytical and project management roles.
She has an MBA from the University of London and an MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics. She is also a British Chevening Scholar (from the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, UK) and speaks fluent Portuguese and Spanish.
