Pepe joined DWM in 2011 following a summer internship in 2010. As a member of the private equity team, he is responsible for underwriting equity transactions, as well as for monitoring and managing portfolio companies.
Prior to joining DWM, Pepe worked in the financial industry for 5 years, first with Merrill Lynch's Equity Sales team in Mexico City and then with the Financial Institutions Group at the NY office of UBS Investment Bank. During his time with UBS, he specialized in executing M&A transactions for banks, insurance companies and pension funds located across Latin America and Spain. As part of his ongoing involvement in non-profit and community development initiatives, Pepe has served on several boards including the Philanthropy Committee of Merrill Lynch Mexico and the Board of the McBurney YMCA in NY.
Pepe holds an MBA with a concentration in Social Enterprise from Columbia University and has a BS in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. He also completed a one year study abroad program as part of his BS in Engineering at the University of Sydney in Australia. Pepe is fluent in Spanish.
