Meri has worked with leading financial institutions in Georgia in banking and risk management for two decades. Before joining Developing World Markets, she was deputy head of credit risk management and head of credit monitoring at JSC Liberty Bank. She was previously head of corporate and medium loan credit risk analysis at Liberty Bank and held positions at TBC Bank, JSC Bank Republic Société Générale, and ProCredit Bank.

Meri holds a master's degree in business administration from International Black Sea University (IBSU) and has completed numerous certifications in macroeconomics, banking, and financial and risk management.
