Hiroshi joined DWM in 2009. As a product development and sustainability expert, he focuses on investor development and advises institutional investors on portfolio diversification through sustainable investments such as microfinance.
Hiroshi previously was a vice president for Morgan Stanley Asset and Investment Trust Management in Tokyo where he developed investment products for institutional and retail investors, and before that, a vice president and portfolio manager for Credit Suisse Asset Management, also in Tokyo, where he oversaw foreign equities, bonds and currencies. As a sustainability expert, he founded a consulting firm focusing on corporate social responsibility (CSR) and social entrepreneurship. He has translated and published books and video programs on globalization and social entrepreneurship in Japan.
Hiroshi holds a BA in economics from Keio University in Tokyo, an MPA from the Harvard Kennedy School, and an MBA from Columbia Business School, where he participated in an exchange program with HEC School of Management in Paris. He is a CFA charterholder and speaks fluent Japanese.
